What’s On

Take a look at our line up for 2018!!

Under The Canopy

This stage will have it all; from professional theatre shows and tango lessons, to fantastic live music. This is one of the most quirky stages you will have ever been to, look down and see the faded remains of a giant outdoor chessboard – a little piece of fun left over from the Victorian era when the park was built.

Get ready for some foot-stomping because we’ve got some seriously good music lined-up for you.   By day this stage has all the best from the local community, including music from local choirs and bands, a little people’s disco, workshops and ‘have a go’ shows.

By night this turns into the main stage where the louder music carries you through the night.

28 Day Film Competition

Do you have a camera that can shoot video or just a mobile phone?

Whether you are an expert filmmaker or have never held a camera, we want you to make a film to show on the big screen as part of the festival. Just to make it interesting –  you’ve only got 28 days to make it! Your film crew could be just one person or a huge team. Any quality, any subject, any genre…

Family Fun

Members of the Fringe Festival team are predominantly parents, so we know how to keep kids busy! We aim to provide a range of activities that support growth and independence in your little ones.

Our Children’s Garden is completely contained and filled with things to climb, build and create. Tents, cushions and blankets aplenty to sit and relax.

Arlais Stage

For AMAZING intelligent sets and open mic sessions visit the Arlais Stage.  This one’s a bit more intimate, a bit more lush, a bit more canvas…

Theatre Dome

This year we are excited to be dedicating an entire stage to theatre and spoken word. The Theatre Dome will host a mix of community and critically acclaimed theatre for both adults and children. The programme will also include an eclectic mix of theatre workshops, book readings, writing workshops (for big and small) and spoken word from some outstanding local poets.
